We can't say it was love at first sight, considering we unknowingly roamed the halls of Brebeuf Jesuit High School for three years together, but we found it was a blessing in disguise given that we both still had some important frontal lobe development to go.
It wasn't until five years later, that we would meet. We both had separate plans with a mutual friend, Hannah Groh, on the same night and found ourselves at an all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant in Indianapolis (*not recommended). Colin caught Alex's eye when he was the only other person at the table brave enough to try the sushi pizza that she insisted on ordering.
(the sushi pizza in question can be seen in the middle)
Our love grew in Indianapolis where we enjoyed finding new and exciting things to do in the city that we had both grown up in.
We moved out to Seattle in the midst of the pandemic so Colin could start business school at the University of Washington. Since moving out, we have embraced the outdoors. Spending countless days skiing down mountains, hiking up trails, jumping into glacial lakes, and paddle boarding all around.
Colin proposed to Alex on their annual ski trip to Crystal Mountain in Washington. Alex was 100% surprised which was quite a feat considering she is very suspicious and he is not good at keeping secrets.
We could not be more excited to be marrying each other this coming June, and cannot wait to share this amazing day with all of you!
